Saw this from a TV cooking show, 'Good, Cheap, Eats 食平DD' making this fruit platter bouquet. I was using what ever fruits available from my refrigerator, apple, pear, plum, grapes, orange and strawberry. I am planning to make one for my hubby's coming birthday as his healthy birthday cake.
Ingredient:
- Your selection of various type of fruits, preferably with various colour.
- Bamboo sticks, different length
- Styrofoam
- Wash, peel and slice the fruits. Soak the sliced apples and pears in salted water to prevent oxidation.
- Insert bamboo stick on each piece of fruits.
- Wrap styrofoam with aluminium foil and put in a bowl.
- Arrange the taller fruit sticks in the middle, surrounding by the shorter.
This is what I saw from the TV cooking show, they were using a bigger slices of fruits, like pineapple, watermelon, honey dew, dragon fruit which are much nicer. I will definitely improve my fruit platter bouquet next time :)
HAPPY BAKING AND COOKING!
