Kit Kat Ice Cream Cake 奇巧冰淇淋蛋糕

Kit Kat Ice Cream Cake 奇巧冰淇淋蛋糕

My second cowboy had requested for an ice cream cake to celebrate his 14th birthday with his friends. I searched through the internet and found one that most kids will love. It combines different sorts of chocolates and ice cream in one cake. It is a terrific frozen party treat to cool off form the heat.

Simple Number Birthday Cupcakes Cake 数字杯子生日蛋糕

Simple Number Birthday Cupcakes Cake 数字杯子生日蛋糕

A simple birthday cake that my little helper, Kai Yann and I made for my birthday. The number revealed how old I was celebrated. The number 4 (四 si) in Chinese has the similar pronunciation as Chinese word for 'die' (死 si). So, number 4 is always consider as an unlucky number among the Chinese communities. Nevertheless, this 43 + 1 birthday cake was made for fun instead of superstitious that 44 is not a lucky number.

Japanese Chawanmushi 茶碗蒸

Chawanmushi is a steamed savory egg custard, normally as a hot appetizer at Japanese meal. "Chawan means tea cup or rice bowl and "mushi" means steamed in Japanese. It is customary to have prawns, ginkgo nuts, steamed fish cake, chicken, shiitake mushroom, spring onion in the chawanmushi and seasoned with soy sauce and mirin or sake. However, you can always improvise the recipe to your liking.
