Ingredients:
- 500 g Potatoes
- 2Tbsp Unsalted butter
- 2 - 3 Tbsp Milk
- Salt, to taste (omit if using salted butter)
- Pepper, to taste
Method:
- Wash the potatoes. Peel with a vegetable peeler. Cut the potatoes into even sized pieces. Rinse under cold water.
- I will normally steam my potatoes for 20 minutes. You may also boil them in a pot of boiling water until tender.
- When they are cooked through, the fork should easily slide into the potatoes with no resistance.
Note: If the fork meets with any resistance, that means they are not cook completely and there will be little hard pieces of potatoes in the final product.
Note: If you have a potato masher, wonderful, use it. If not, don't worry, I also use two forks to do the job :)
- Drain the cooked potatoes.
- Mash the potatoes until smooth.
Note: If you have a potato masher, wonderful, use it. If not, don't worry, I also use two forks to do the job :)
- Add in the butter while the potatoes are still warm. Stir until the butter has melted.
- Add in milk. Mix until combined.
- Season with salt and pepper.
HAPPY BAKING AND COOKING!
